"VORTEX" is the 12th major and 20th overall single released by the GazettE. This was released in two different versions: an Optical (CD+DVD) Impression edition containing a DVD of the title song's music video along with its making of, and an Auditory (CD only) Impression edition coming with the B-side song "BREAK ME". It is their first Sony Music Entertainment single to not have any immediate tie ins. The titular track is said to depict the struggles of the social system and the absurd. The single reached #5 on the Oricon weekly charts, where it charted for seven weeks.
